Trust me. I'm 8way's Batman. I didn't make the comparison, I believe some dragon-lovin-freak did, but it fits.

I don't know whats going on either.

They obviously thought that side arm shotgun was fair (Bolt Shot), I don't see why SAW isn't.

As Dizzy said, the SAW is not only a power weapon but probably one of the best ones in the game. You can mow everyone down at mid range. Halo, and Halo 4 in particular, is primarily played with opponents about 15-20 feet away from each other, which is why the BR/DMR are so good. SAW fits right in there.
