I've been a fan of Soul Calibur since it was in the arcades as Soul Edge. I didn't own a Soul Calibur game until part 3, because I didn't own a PSone. I wasn't going to buy a PS3, because of the ridiculous price. That was until Soul Calibur 4 came out. I had to have it, so I caved, but I got a good deal on it.
I am currently enjoying Soul Calibur 5, but kind of disappointed on the single player experience, or lack there of, since I don't do online gaming. My favorite to this day is still Soul Calibur 3 due to the Chronicles of the Sword story mode. That was just so much fun to play. I really wish they'd bring that back.
My favorite aspect of the game is the Create a Soul. It is one of the best create a characters I have ever seen. I only buy games where you can create you character such as the ModNation Racers, Mortal Kombat: Armaggedon, Fight Night, and the WWE games. One thing I wished they do is make the faces and facial hair separate. Why should only one face have a beard? Also, add different facial hair and be able to combine a couple to make unique facial hair.
My favorite character is Cervantes. I was disappointed they took out some of his moves I used a lot. Don't know why they did that.
