I was going to run ranbats at Arcade UFO for SC2 because there was a fairly strong SC2 scene in Texas back in the day. If it's based on the PAL version and dosen't fix that mess, I'm not going to bother.
PW- If you're a mina/kilik player, you're going to love doom kicks, haha.
The happy ending...
Cannes 04 was either played on NSTC version or banned use of the PAL exclusive glitches, because footage from that tournament shows no Kilik doom kicks nor Ivy UB. I would confirm further with Maxi 3B+K but I can't even find a Maxi anywhere in the available footage from that tournament.. which...
There was a mid kick that Mina and Kilik shared (correct me if i'm wrong, i remember the data only, not the notation) that they could glitch and make it BS +14. The HS was something so high that Mina got 3B guaranteed.
The big things I remember are Ivy 4A+B, Kilik/Mina Doom Kicks, and Maxi's high damage low. There may have been more but those were the changes that basically broke the game.
This went from a day one purchase to a "wait and see what others report" for me. I will absolutely not support the PAL...
So Soakrates posted on SRK that this is based on the PAL version. Is this true/does anyone have any press release to back this up? I am not terribly happy if that's the case.
edit: ugh, soakrates explained it further with verification from DTN. This is garbage. Whhhhhy is it the PAL version...
I'm only mentioning this because of the MOTB post, but if you're pulling all these new threads from guardimpact, it's really unlikely that any of it is SC2. That site went down during the early days of SC2, I will be surprised if any of it is anything other then SC1.
I like the lack of bounds because it reminds me of older namco games (T3, SC2) and I don't see why you can't just end your strings early to bait the launch punishable (and unlike Shoryu's, not fast) shoryu-style attacks. Mind games, tadah. Getting free king knee's vs. ken-style shoryu scrubs all...
