  • Hey mate. I really appreciate the input on the Nightmare thread. Could you explain things a bit more elaborately though? I'm trying to break him down and deconstruct the whole thing.

I play Leixia as a secondary "main" too so I hate what they did to her.

I used to play her as a dancer/whiff punisher which worked very well in SC4 (X). And it worked very well at the start of the game but then they nerfed backstep and now you have to rush forward and play a close range style which i hate.
now that the game has been out for quite a bit now, I can easily say that pyrrha is a bad MU for nm, players much better than you or I agree with this

The weird tracking of a lot of moves also punishes side movement and back movement. And side movement is not as rewarding as previous games so the reward is not as high.

Everything I said previously was correct pre-patch but post patch I will agree with you on everything as the only advantages Nightmare had (or like 5-8 characters in the cast had) was their spacing ability.

Ironically, Pyrrha is a better whiff punisher than nightmare now lol due to the awesome range of the CE and NM 3B tip's puny damage. I thought the game was balanced pre patch, why did they have to fuck it up?
    I think Nightmare is mid-tier :(

Nah NM is mid imo, i said it at the beginning of the discussion. But what makes you think that sieg could buffer his iaga from step - he can't, its the same situation for him, as it is for NM. And i don't consider that bad either, you just have to work around it.

At least your character's not at the bottom of the barrel. XD

Exactly...Engared I think your downplaying nm too much. Ofc he is tourney viable.....
