    Official Soulcalibur V Post-EVO 2012 Rule Changes!

This is certainly true but also the problem. Because Viola players have not tried to exploit it this makes everything in discussion regarding the infinite as pure speculation, or generally untested outside of local competition. I personally don't understand why a Viola player wouldn't use this...

    Official Soulcalibur V Post-EVO 2012 Rule Changes!

Well I did talk to you briefly at MLG Anaheim but I doubt you remember. You weren't mean then, even after you just lost. Anyway, I don't think the infinite should be unbanned, actually. With all the trouble going into it's ban I don't want to re-create all of it just to get in unbanned when I...

    Official Soulcalibur V Post-EVO 2012 Rule Changes!

Forgot to reply to this and the previous one. Actually, how good a character is definitely factors into whether something should be banned. You seem to have some understanding toward this based on what I quoted. If there was a character that was sub-par in every way but had an infinite that...

Or you could take my arguments with some merit instead of just calling me an ass. What did I say that was so 'foot in mouth?'

I can't imagine a friendlier person than you.

So the only reason you're banning it is because it's an infinite? Do you have any experience with fighting games at all?

Even with her infinite, Viola isn't considered to be the best in the game. Unless you think she is the best in the game, there really isn't a reason to ban the infinite other than you don't like it. And that's not a good reason.

    SoulCast Episode #2: Esom

I've already pointed out that I understand (or I think I do, anyway) the side that prefers the random stage select rule, and I don't think that version is unfair either. In general, however, for a competitive game it makes sense to take out as much randomness as possible. Malice that just...

    SoulCast Episode #2: Esom

I understand the stage select is giving the loser a second advantage in addition to counter-picking, but this is not a game-breaking advantage. And, again, it's simply not unfair. There are pros and cons to both systems, but since neither one is unfair complaining about it seems silly. Just use...

    SoulCast Episode #2: Esom

Calling the extended sets a 'Starcraft rule' just shows your ignorance about the whole thing. That rule was used before Starcraft was at MLG, and several people in the Starcraft community don't like the rule. Likewise I don't understand the hate toward the 'loser selects stage' rule. It's...

UnseenWombat, I don't mind trying to argue towards decency but don't post up a chart that uses the word 'fag' twice in it like there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm confused. It looked like you didn't want to play one character before.

    MLG Announces Soulcalibur V Ruleset

Okay, basically this rule only comes into effect during double jeopardy, which in a double-elimination tournament is when you play someone in losers bracket that you already played before. Normally a set is best 3 out of 5. If you play someone again you will now play a best 6 out of 11 set...
