    Even with SCV... I have enough experience now that it doesn't bother me, but if I were starting out, there's still the threat of being randomed out and not learning anything. And then the guy vanishes, and you don't get a rematch. If you're not analyzing that replay, you're not getting anything at all.

    I never leveled up in Ranked- just in (extended sets) player matches... and in a lot of games Ranked tends to be the more popular/available game mode, which is distressing, especially if you don't know anybody.

    I guess I can see what you're talking about. But what made SCV better was the replays for when I was thinking, why did I get smacked so bad, etc. So, I don't feel this applies as badly for SCV, I learned pretty quickly after getting it.

    I used to say GG no matter what. I only say it unless I feel the games were actually close or fun, otherwise the phrase wouldn't mean anything to me. If I get stomped and don't say gg it's usually a simple "thanks for playing me, was fun"
