I Want to Play Offline

So I've discovered a problem. I now think I have developed the skill level to compete (Not necessarily win) and play offline. I was told by some better players that since I want to play offline I should go to some local stuff and later head on to some major events. But during my search for local SCV I couldn't find anything in the Phoenix area. So I don't really know what to do now.

There's a couple of players who, I think, still play in PHX, AZ. Look up "Kinetic Clash" or "Jowuh." I know Dr Dogg doesn't play anymore, but he is a centralized figure in the PHX FGC scene.
