Wingman
[01] Neophyte
Hey everyone, I'm Wingman, a fighting game player from Eastern Canada. I've been playing the Soul series since Soul Calibur on Dreamcast, and have played every console release since, although not SCV until recently. I've spent the last few years mostly playing VF5 Final Showdown and SF3 3rd Strike. I did pick up SC2 HD when it came out, though.
In late March I attended a local tournament, and we have a small but dedicated Soul Calibur scene here in my city, and they invited me over to play some casuals during tournament after-hours. I had a lot of fun trying it out, and really enjoyed playing casuals with them. I decided to pick up the game and start learning it. I bought it that night on PSN, and have been playing it since. Shortly after buying it, it came on sale on XBL for less than $4, so I scooped that version up, too. I was always a Seung Mina player, but in her absence I've been using Xiba, Pyrrha and Pyrrha Ω.
I watch a lot of tournament streams, so over the past month I've been watching some SCV major tournament videos on Youtube, and I already recognize some of the players from them here. I regret not picking the game up sooner since SCV IS no longer on the lineups of our local tournaments, but I'm going to stay involved with the local offline scene. I'm looking forward to learning more about the game and becoming a stronger player!
