Dark Souls

pyromancy damage isnt tied to a stat, you can upgrade your flame to +15 by only spending souls and you don't need a huge attunement to get enough slots to use what you want. It's pretty damn good.

Combustion in pvp is nasty for shield turtlers.

Apparently I lied earlier when I said "nevah!" because I happened to be in human mode (which is rare) so I summoned 2 guys for kicks then realized i was at a mini boss. They totally raped it with soul arrow and I didn't do jack. Not very satisfying...

Lobo I hear from my brother pyromancy is all done through an npc and anyone can learn it. Do tell.

yeah anyone can learn it from the guy you rescue from the depths by the butcher. once you get it to +15 (about 250K souls) you unlock qualaag's sister, who teaches you more spells and upgrades it more to +20 and make damage scale with INT...the scaling is a joke though, so wasting points on INT isn't a good idea. any sorcery boosting items work with it pyro as well. anyone can learn it, the difference is if you chose him from the beginning you get double casts on everything, which is pretty fucking major. it is 100% worth your time to farm a bit and get a +5 or +10 glove and learn iron skin. that shit demolishes every boss in the game. my pyro build is nothing but END and VIT with attunement at 19 so i can have 5 slots. then i fill my slots with iron skin, 2 fire orb, combustion, great combustion. i never run out of casts before a bonfire...not so far anyway.

i was worried at first that the lack of scaling would leave me behind in offense, but not anymore. i literally raped quelaag, sif, S & O and everything in between them. supposedly those three are the toughest bosses in the game and i was able to casually walk right up to all of them and eat their best and fry their faces. as i level up, i only become a stronger and stronger tank with all my VIT (almost 2K HP). shit is too easy.

I'm totally boned on pyromancy cause I killed the witch and then i told the pyromancer guy about her. yeaaa.....so there's no one to teach me pyromancy or upgrade my hand now. it's starting to bother me more now that I'm further in the game and it has become apparent that a lot of stuff was just not designed to be beaten by melee attacks -_-
