Dark Souls

I'm totally boned on pyromancy cause I killed the witch and then i told the pyromancer guy about her. yeaaa.....so there's no one to teach me pyromancy or upgrade my hand now. it's starting to bother me more now that I'm further in the game and it has become apparent that a lot of stuff was just not designed to be beaten by melee attacks -_-

Well you know, serves you right for just killing random people you meet. No offense.

well, the witch was because I was stupid, I thought i got the egg on my head cause I made a covenant with her and figured if i killed her it would go away when all I had to do was use that egg vermifuge item.

pyromancer guy on the other hand I had no idea would get killed just cause of a yes/no choice. that just sucked.

After demon's souls I don't agree to anything without checking the wiki. Sad but true. "Let me out of this cage!" "Hold up.... just let me hop online a minute"

sadly thats true, I really don't like to play games with guides but this game seems to punish you really hard for not doing so, unless you just so happen to make all the right choices. way too many ambiguous yes/no choices with permanent penalty for not picking the right choice (well at least until newgame+...)

for example, the cat past that door in the forest area. it was basically saying "you'll never be able to do blah blah just give up." So I think "the heroic thing is not to give up!" so I say no. what does this do? it permanently blocks me from joining a covenant. not that I really care about this covenant anyway after looking it up, but it's just another example of how if you don't use a guide you can suffer permanently for dumb stuff

lol...what a super lame way to play! it is all about making your own decisions. tiamat what do you mean he got killed? he vanished on my game as well for some reason after i got out of anor londo. luckily i already got all my shit from him. the other witch is quelaag's OTHER sister though, not the silent covenent leader. it is a normal looking lady sitting indian style on a little island in the blight town swamps who tells you her mom and sisters got corrupted and teaches you spells/upgrades to help you kill them. not sure how you trigger her appearance, but i bet you can still do it.

my yes/no motto thus far has been "yes to everything" and it has worked out pretty well for me.
