Hi All,

The thread title is pretty optimistic - i'm soooo gonna get destroyed for the next few weeks til I get up to speed!

Love the series - played SCII to death on my GC (between me and may mate's consoles we had about 200 hours of gametime logged...8-on-8 team vs battles with random characters, or best of 9 rounds with 200% health epics were our favorites!)

anyhow, played SCIV a bunch, but then moved abroad and (stupidly) left the fisk in storage by accident - as a result I haven't played a game in the series for ages. Just bought SCV, and really enjoying what I've seen so far, but I can tell it's gonna be a while before I get any kind of competitive level of play back.

Gonna post in the New Player Development thread - looking forwards to meeting some of you peeps

It's good to meet you man. Zaraki Kenpachi would tell you something like "Tch.. Who cares if you lose, just get stronger so you can get into better fights next time!" So yeah, I hope you can stick with it man and I look forward to hearing how it goes. Where are you from btw and who are you maining?

yep, Kenpachi knows best - difficult fights are the most fun, and if you get beat then get strong enough to beat the guy that beat you!

Am from the UK, but currently living in Oz (which is really annoying as it makes getting online at the same time as people I already know pretty much impossible mon-fri!).

As for who I'm maining - I'm not really atm. It's been over a year since played II or IV, and the little I've played has enough changes to characters/movesets that i'm open to suggestions at the moment. For online so far I've been mostly sticking to Raphael and Lexia as out of the styles I was familiar with they have changed the least as far as I can tell, but definitely want to broaden my horizons...my strongest chars in previous titles were Kilik, Raphael, Xianghua, Yun-Seong/Hwang and Taki. Want to give Mitsu a proper go this time, and probably Siegfried too, as I enjoyed them in previous titles but didn't kearn them as in depth as the others. Conversely I never got to grips with Soph, Cass, Lizardman, Voldo or Ivy - just didn't get on with them
