Obama wins

Music adds to the impact

The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

Like hell will I do any manditory community service in college until the government actually does something to help college students. That is bullshit. Tuition is skyrocketing while at the same time it is getting harder to get funding. Obama and the rest of Washington can kiss my ass if they expect me to do that. Seriously everyone is whining so they get their SS benefits or the banks get their bailouts but no one gives a crap about college students.

The reason why our education system fails is because the maority of people think like you. You don't want to pay higher taxes in order to achieve socialist ideals? Then you better be willing to contribute.

The fact of the matter is, you've been getting an artificially cheap education all your life, assuming you're a product of the public education system. You wouldn't be going to college if it weren't for your country's interest in everyone's education, unless you're rich enough to pay someone the true cost of education. To say that your government isn't doing anything for you is a slap in the face to every student out there that works hard, and KNOWS how lucky they are.
