    That newest Avermedia card allows you to stream when you hook it up to a laptop etc. The older one Jimbo showed you can only record locally and it needs an external USB2.0 HDD. It cannot be hooked up to a PC directly.

    Sure. I also have the older model. It works fine, but I ended up having to shell out for an Elgato anyway when I wanted to stream. (Elgato's a pain to use component with.)

    Probably the newest Avermedia. A PC with an i5 or better CPU is also highly useful. Open Broadcast or Xsplit for streaming software.
