    I like that style. Looks like the sort of Ghibli style, don't really know, but it's in between say anime and western cartoons. :)

    "Kun" is normally the honorific for boys and men. "Chan" is normally for females, but can also be used on those that the person finds endearing/has affection for. It can be used for males in some circumstances, but in general this use is rather condescending or intimate.

    So one is more intimate, the other is formal. Like Signor and Signore in Italian, one with friends, the other with a teacher.
