No. Once you try to grab it will happen no matter what.

I think he meant grab canceling as if he was doing a A/B cancel but you can't do that.

Sorry i meant to escape the grab. Since you can use A to cancel an A+G grab and B to cancel a B+G grab, can u cancel either one with a simple A+B button. Maybe my timing is wrong but im having a hard time canceling with A+B

No, A+B prioritises A and only breaks A grabs. Breaking throws is always a guess, call it a read if you prefer.
