Dark Souls

goofus:
We were within 10 levels, but it seems that the level gap is stricter now.: +- 10%.
And they implemented a random lobby system, so pairing up is pretty tedious.

I just managed to get 2 co-op session with my friend after hours of trying. We tried to re-load our game, reconnect to our PSN, even re-power our PS3 to attempt to change lobbies.

And each time, we were never sure if we're in the same lobby. We just reset, put soul sign a few times. If it fails, repeat.

Warning: Other's messages is NOT a good indicator of whether you are in the same lobby. The times my friend summoned me, we were seeing different messages in the area.

Lol, the character selection screen in DS doesn't do the face justice. It should look OK in-game.

Ok I haven't had a lot of time to really dig into this game but so far I'm in love. I'm around level 17 and I'm right before the gargoyles, hoping to ring that bell tonight. So far the bonuses for being human are really really helpful for making forward progress.

I'm having trouble landing back stabs, in fact I haven't landed any yet. Without them I can't imagine killing any of those Black Knights, so any tips on how to back stab would be helpful.

It's still the same as Demon Souls, just stricter.
Against the 1st Dark Knight, I recommend circling towards his shield.
Wait for him to do his shield bash~sword stab, which will totally whiff, then backstab him.

I deleted my first character so I'm now back to base level Wanderer. Doing Undead Burg now.

Trying to upload a vid now but it seems that YouTube is giving me some insane processing time (337 min!).

I thought demon souls was a very fun game, but I'm surprised that it has such high reviews.

Doesn't it surprise anyone that it wasn't torn apart for having basically NO story??
