Demons souls

Most of you probably know but with the 4-2 gecko's I tried a billion different approaches on pure black. Good thing was tho unless they die and you see +10 souls for each one you can just reload the game for infinite tries at killing them both if you suck at gecko hunting as much as me. I finally got them both charging in from the left with firestorm and got a pure darkmoon xD I might have another respawn left and probably 1 after boss so ill be trying again l8r xD

Anyway...............so atm I'm SL 88. I have about 400k souls to level up after farming the reaper but dunno what to put them in. Here are my stats atm and I'm looking for a pvp battlemage.

Vit: 34
Int: 24
Endurace: 20
Strength: 18
Dex: 13
Magic: 40
Faith: 12
Luck: 7

I use a crescent uchi +5 so it says my right hand weapon does 380, which seems to be low as heck in pvp which is why ive been upping magic. Im in saints robes most of the time but dorans when i wear the ring of strength. And I'm just using silver catalyst but I'll eventually get faith up to 18 for TOB and OTR.

So yh what to up next and what items i definately need next? Shud I find a better weapon? thnx
 
Crescent Uchi is what I primarily used, and it is awesome. Plus it recovers mp slightly. I would say go to world 3, and hide a soul sign so the Old Monk will summon you. If he does summon you (and you win) then you will get a Monk's Headwrap. You can kill most people by spamming firestorm since that spell is a bitch in lag. This boosts magic damage by a significant amount if you can deal with the screen obstruction. Next I would say get a decent shield and Kris Blade+5 for your offhand. Also if you really want to go pvp as a mage then Homing Soul Arrow would help a great deal. I would also say get poison cloud since a lot of people freak out when they see a cloud. Warding would also be great to have.

Oh yeah, stat wise I would say put more points into Endurance. Your Endurance maxes out at 40.
 
So is crescent better in terms of damage with 40+ magic or is moon since it has better base stats and im not going to too high a level anyway? If any1 knew how to work it out then it wud be gr8. I asked this on the atlus forums lol and it doesnt seem my chars too good.

Btw random, whats the advantage of having a sword in each hand? I can imagine how badass you'd look but how else does it help? And any1 else get completely ownd most of the time online with hyper pole/ anti magic field users?
 
Probably the only weapon worth attacking with in your off hand is Baby's Nail for plague.

Other than that, there's not much reason to dual wield.
You don't get any special move sets for combining weapons; if you could do something like the 2 sword lunges of the dual katana skeletons it might be useful.

Weapons like kris blade or phosphorescent pole may be good to hold in your off hand but you won't actually attack with them.

As for crescent vs moon, *shrug* beats me.
I thought moon weapons were always stronger, but it seems there are cases where crescent weapons are a bit stronger.
 
Crescent is better simply because you regen mana while having it equipped. Otherwise, stick to named weapons. Phosphorescent Pole is stupid fucking broke online... block 3 hits and all your equipment is broken.
