I tried doing this with the device and this example video came out. Although I don't think it came out as well as I had hoped it would. There is a way I could capture video through component cables (RGB) and HDMI. I think I recorded this video through HDMI. How you think this video came out, brioche?

 
You should change your capture settings to 720p if you want the best image quality you can get with SCV.
 
Ok... so here's my second day trying this with two clips:

PS3 Video Input Setting: 720p
Elgato Video Output Setting: "HD 1080"


...and this:

PS3 Video Input Setting: 720p
Elgato Video Output Setting: "HD 720"
