Four New Characters Revealed!

Last night, Namco had a press event in San Francisco. At this event, they revealed four upcoming characters for SOULCALIBUR VI. In addition to the expected staples of Nightmare, Xianghua and Kilik... we also got our first look at a brand new character: Grøh.

Since SOULCALIBUR VI takes place before other titles in the series, there remains some questions about a few of the characters in this trailer. Obviously with Nightmare and Kilik. Are Siegfried and Nightmare still one person? Is Kilik currently being possessed by the Kali-Yuga; though he appears to be wearing the Dvapara-Yuga. Screenshots to follow.

Waiting to see if my old favorites show up. Dunno if Cassandra can show up if it's sticking to the same timeline as before. But if it's a reboot the age gap between her and Sophie could be lessened. In any event Taki should be able to compete so I'm just patiently awaiting her debut. And also wondering what she'll look like this go around. They can tone down the boobs, I wouldn't complain.

Cassandra is a rumored character that being a part of the lost swords roster and not in sc5 category described by Vergeben so i would say a good chance.

Also a SC game without more than one sword and shield user I think not :P

 

I'm not so hype on Groh (yet) as a character, but I dig his fighting style. If the create-a-fighter comes back, I would love to give that style to one of my own.

 

I'm waiting for them to add more "Soul Edge" characters - like Taki, Cervantes, Seung Mina, Hwang and Voldo. I would like to see Arthur as a downloadable content along with Cassandra. Do you think that they'll do that? I hope so.
