Dave, wtf are you talking about? This game is amazingly good. Not a fan? why roll up into this thread then? And I beg to differ from our short discussion on Live. This game is FAR from boring. I havn't had this much fun playing and learning a game in a long time.
And super BOO! to doubters and haters of the idea of a Competitive L4D. First off, anyone who knows or understands how this game works, and going into it competitively. really just lost all ability to have their bitching mean jack shit. By going into competitive L4D you understand that the game itself is not always going to be fair to you, your team, or your enemy's team. You may have to face SEVERAL early tanks and in return you may never get a tank. Don't like it? Tough shit, you knew ahead of time the game can and may work like that. Best you and your team can do is prepare and handle the situation best you guys can. Remember, you get points for how far you've gotten not how many infected or survivors you kill. Thats how I feel about all that.

Game is too random for competitive play, but that's something that's easily fixable.
Btw, if you want to be awesome, do this:
If you're on PC, enable the dev console in options -> keyboard/mouse
then do:
bind 1 "+attack2; slot1"
bind 2 "+attack2; slot2"
then hit 1 and 2 maybe 4-5 times a second, and each time you do, you'll do a melee swing, making you swing MUCH faster than normal. You can hold off an entire hoard like this.

Don't defend the farm house, defend the barn to the left of it as you're approaching the front door. Climb up the ladder and there's a stack of ammo in the barn. Hide in the corner there and shoot the zombies that run in from the hole in the wall/roof and the ones that climb up the ladder, and avoid smokers outside. When the tank comes, stay on the top floor and run around the rafters. The strat is less effective in VS due to not as dumb tanks, but it's still better than the house.

just playin with ya rek, i really dont hate the game. I do think it can be a bit boring, especially going through it multiple times with the same people. but ive had my fun with it
