Mega Man 9

... MK anyone not using the dark skins can see :) We need to get spoiler tags.

Megaman can't cost too much for me. Paying for DLC is annoying but that's why I only buy for the things that would be worth it.

Anyway, just picked it up last night. OMFG music almost brought me to tears, of memories and happiness of course.

edit: we do have spoiler tags, just go advanced! or use:

Hooray for an arranged soundtrack.

As "retro" and "oldskool" 8-bit is, I'm happy they released an arranged album. I didn't want to have to listen to those songs in only 8-bit.

I prefer the 8 bit versions. The arranged stuff is okay. Compare the energy from 8 bit Thunder Tornado to the arranged version.

I think Thunder Tornado arranged compliments it's 8-bit version pretty well. Same applies to Splash Blue.

To be perfectly honest, there were only a small portions of songs that I liked in MM9 and that still holds true even with it's arranged OST. The only song that I REALLY prefer the 8-bit version over the arranged is Galaxy Man's. I really disliked they way they approached that arranged track. I love Tornado Man's and Splash Woman's arranged though. Those two are easily my favorites in the arranged OST.

musician's mini game

you might think i'm crazy, but the best thing about the demo is this mini game i found/invented:

in the menu where you can select Options, start the game, etc, there's this awesome loop that plays. if you'll notice, the cursor sound is perfectly in tune with the music.
so you can rhythmically hit up or down on the d-pad and play along with the music until your brain explodes from the sheer awesomeness of what is happening. it's hard to get the timing right, but if you're musically inclined, this might be a fun challenge. my bandmates and i had fun jamming along for a few (many) minutes. alternating between up- and down- presses with the right hand is the best way to ensure both speed and precision. enjoy!
