Mega Man 9

Sounds like someone's hitting the bong too much ^

I take back my cynicism...and deeply apologise to anybody for my rash comments.
This game is fucking awesome.
I thought I'd be able to complete it in a day...but I find myself stuck on Wily part 3...Mostly out of dying too many times before I reach the boss...i've kinda worked out the boss' pattern but I make too many mistakes and I can see what i'm doing wrong.
That underwater spike section is a motherfucker.

I am loving it though. The music, the nostalgia, and the hardcore cramp in my spirit from getting owned too much.

Oh noes; W00t has fallen into Capcom's nostalgia trap as well, el oh el.

MM9 is an alright game. However, there are still things Capcom did that I don't approve of:

- Taking away MegaMan's slide and charge shot (taking away GOOD addictions to a series just to make it "old school" is retarded, making it 8-bit was old school enough).
- Selling bonus characters as DLC I can let go, but difficulties? really? WTF

I still haven't bought the game myself and still don't plan to, but it's entertaining.

the game is 10 dollars. paying 5 dollars more still makes it a better value than 99% of the games you can get out there.

- Selling bonus characters as DLC I can let go, but difficulties? really? WTF

I emailed Capcom regarding this. Well, Capcom-Europe considering the fact the difficulties are $1 on your store and £1.20 on mine. $1 = £0.60, so to charge double that is fucking retardedly foul.

However...I didn't give a fuck for losing out on slide n charge shot. Take it back to it's roots. I heard ProtoMan makes it uber-easy. I'd rather keep the challenge.

You're just disgruntled :P

I even said in my email that the initial cost is acceptable at today's standards - considering you'd have had to pay four times that 15-20 years ago.

musician's mini game

you might think i'm crazy, but the best thing about the demo is this mini game i found/invented:

in the menu where you can select Options, start the game, etc, there's this awesome loop that plays. if you'll notice, the cursor sound is perfectly in tune with the music.
so you can rhythmically hit up or down on the d-pad and play along with the music until your brain explodes from the sheer awesomeness of what is happening. it's hard to get the timing right, but if you're musically inclined, this might be a fun challenge. my bandmates and i had fun jamming along for a few (many) minutes. alternating between up- and down- presses with the right hand is the best way to ensure both speed and precision. enjoy!

OMFG I actually can't believe someone's done the same shit I've been doing hahaha
