Men of the FGC

Gamergate really had its origins in a fake scandal. Which was used to springboard claims of corruption. (Sleeping around for reviews, which didn't happen. Sleeping around for awards which weren't actually given...) Saying it's about ethics in an industry where all info is regulated by the game companies regardless is a joke. There's no valid way to provide "ethical" games journalism short of corporate espionage.

This is like trying to apply high standards to TMZ.

They found other instances of Kotaku being corrupt. And I really doubt you could say all of it isn't true. But at the same time, the corruption and arguments of gamergate are almost entirely female focused. Meaning the number one goal couldn't really be just corruption. Or the guys involved would of been more of a focus. It's a lot of fighting back against mainstream media and their social justice champions like Anita. Both sides have their rights and wrongs. But only one side is making a huge profit by lying, and that's the Anita side.

Long story short people are only seeing the sides of the story that fit their pre-determined view of it. Everyone can go home now.

Er, no. The facts are what they are. No reviews exist. No awards were given. That's fact.

Your side of the story is that people have sides of the story? Very helpful, leave the thread so people can discuss lol.
