New player, in need of advice

Thank you all for the replies, it was really helpful. In the long run, I want to buy a newer console, but not in the near future, so I think I'll just play both games for the time being, just to get the most general experience with the series.
BTW, I don't have that memory card corruption glitch with SC3, at least it didn't happen yet... I'm lucky I guess :).

Originally I got into SC3 because it has a really good tutorial, so as a beginner I could easily pick up the basics. But now as I look around for more info, I noticed there's no frame frame data for SC3. Is that because no one plays it (cuz the data corruption bug)?

Frame data is harder to find because most of it was archived on an older forum that's no longer in service
