New SOULCALIBUR Title at E3? *EDIT: Hah! Nope

I think it would be interesting to see what would happen if CE's didn't have invincible frames. Doing yolo CE's would be heavily discouraged.

Also, I fail to see how meter-less GI's would make the game better; they're the equivalent of focus attacks from SF4.

The only problem with CEs is that there isn't enough variety with them. Too many characters have CEs that are just for punishing or slightly increasing combo damage. If CEs return, I would like to see ones that briefly power you up (Like Juri's Ultra 1 in SF4 or Makoto's super) or other utility use ones. Even more that that though, I would like no more useless BEs. Seriously, what the hell is the point of something like Cervantes' 22A BE, Viola's 66K BE, Algol's 4A+B BE, or Ivy's 22B BE?

Also, if Tekken 7 is any indication, CEs or attacks like them are probably not going away.

In what way is removing Critical Edges synonymous with improving gameplay? SCV has objectively the best gameplay in the series. Even if you LIKE the other games better, it'd be difficult to argue that they were BETTER competitively.
What made Soul Calibur, the great game that we knew? Was it the Critical Edges/ Brave Edges? Or was it the story and the original gameplay?

And yeah I do agree, Soul Calibur 5 gameplay is good, but critical edges/brave edges? On top of that it cost meter to GI. It was never like that in SC 1, 2 and 3 (meaning it never costed meter to GI in SC1, 2 and 3)

Soul blade aka Soul Edge had critical edges, true but Soul Calibur 1, 2 and 3 never had that and SC2 and 3 were said to be the best SC's on the older generation consoles.
