^Looking good. The suspense is killing me. As in, how will your lizard(s) react to their home?

He's going to go apeshit over it I'm sure. This is his current set up. He doesn't have a whole lot of room to climb up and down right now.

I refuse to see it. I dont know why, i just do. Was it too much cgi that made it look fake, or did it look half way believable?

honestly, my eyes didn't give a rats ass about the CG. i think i grown out that phase. what i paid most attention to was the overall and underlying narratives and themes. both were solid.
but on that note, i do recall being in awe at some of the visuals. but when you have the WETA and ILM studios working on your film + more. i mean damn near 1000 people working on your film specifically for the cg... the shit will look good.

and also, if you're going to watch this movie, do yourself a favor and watch it in 3d. it's a really well done movie. but it was overhyped.

there's nothing new that we haven't seen before. and if you have a 1000 people workin on a film, quality of the visuals and sound etc etc are already at a high level of expectation. so it doesn't really raise the bar for me. but yeah.. if you have to put visuals on a scale, live action blended well with the CG because i didn't need to focus on it. there's nothing that said oh this is fake.. because guess what? the movie takes place on a made up fucking planet. of course the shit is fake. but was it believable? to that end, i say yes. yes it was.

and fuck.. sigourney weaver in a james cameron movie. that's worth price of admission right there. add michelle rodriguez to the mix. shiet.... any movie with michelle rodriguez in it i'm already chubbed at the first things she says.

also, timewise it's a bit lengthy but again, i was so engrossed in the narrative that i honestly didn't know how long it was until i was outside the theater checkin the time.

having said all that... it was still overhyped. but doesn't mean it's not a damn good flick.

my stance on films of this calibur: IMAX or DIE. if you're not watching this in IMAX you're doing yourself a disservice
