Just came in to say that this game is boring. Looting is pointless, money is meaningless, enemies are retarded easy, quests are endless and pointless, and game balance leaves a lot to be desired. It's obvious elder scrolls was made for kids, with it's PG dialogue. In fallout, there are sexual innuendos all over the place and cuss words thrown in just for immersion. Not only that, the quests are actually fucking LONG and make you feel like it's a real quest. Fallout was built for more mature gamers.
The environment is a lot more original than med-evil fantasy with dragons. Guns are way funner combat wise than swords and spells, just my opinion.
And to top it off, I MUCH prefer fallout's leveling system. You only level by actually killing, picking locks, completing quests, etc. And when you level, you up whatever the fuck you want, instead of relying on constant use or "spamming".
No tedious alchemy, enchanting, or smithing. That's right, none of that boring spamming! No overpowered Items!
Having attributes+ perk system is the ultimate "FUCK YES", for me!
Any Fallout game>>>>Any elder scrolls game.
It's as if fallout is what would happen to elder scrolls IF they got the mechanics right and balanced (with the exception of V.A.T.S., that shit is broke!)
The thing about skyrim that makes it fail; It's too easy, even without exploiting the game's mechanics, even on legendary. It's a yawn fest.
Now Fallout on the other hand.... requires planning, tactics, good RPG skills. You are forced to use every tool at your disposal. ( mind you I am playing completely without VATS, that's where I draw the line). You are also required to explore and scavenge all you can find because your resources are so finite. Having a higher skill in lockpicking actually has a point because without it you cant open the harder locks.
Honestly, this post is long enough already, cas' I can give 100+ reasons. I'm stopping here.
BTW, I am still playing fallout 3. Haven't even touched New Vegas yet because I still have tons to do in 3. I'm sure I will love it even more than 3! There are so many ways to build a character it's ridiculous.
I'm not saying Skyrim is bad, I'm just saying I think Fallout is 10x better, with the exception of graphics (but honestly who gives a fuck about that?)
