I mean, of course I'm glad you weren't hurt at all, but jail time? What was the police's reasoning for that? Surely it's self defence?

That's fucked. Can't you file charges against him?

Like I said, he was injured and I wasn't. He also filed charges against me and also put a stay away order against me. I'm actually the defendant.


Also, I have to fight my job for unemployment and also sue them. Like I said, I notified my job what happened in detail. Told them that he attacked me, threatened me multiple times at work etc, They told me I could keep my job and then when I came in for my shift they said that being in jail (knowing what happened) is not the same as being in the hospital so it is not an approved absence. Basically they told me that I should have been stabbed. I have documentation for where I was and my coworkers are witnesses to everything.

you should be able to take this guy to court and get this shit expunged

It will eventually get thrown out or if it goes to trial then I can easily fight it. I have two more preliminaries and it gets thrown out assuming the guy continues to not show up.
