The claim that Obama is a socialist is false. It's not a decent observation at all. The claim that Obama is suffering from a narcissistic personality complex is absurd. The idea that he'll end up like Stalin?

We just finished up with a dictatorial president. He claimed more power to himself that the Constitution ever granted. NOW you're afraid that the president who taught Constitutional law (as does his VP) will become dictator for life? *sigh*

You guys should get off of Obama's nuts already until he actually does something good.

He got elected President of the United States. Stopping Palin from getting anywhere near the office. That's something good right there.
 
McCain's evidence Obama is socialist was that he was for a progressive tax. Instituted by Theodore Roosevelt, an historic Republican figure. Championed by Ronald Reagan, a modern Conservative hero. So if they think progressive taxes are socialist, they only have themselves to blame.

I'm thrilled at the way the national election turned out, by in my home state we re-elected a bigoted, showboating sheriff(Joe Arpaio), re-elected a moronic congressman (Russell Pearce, and I don't use 'moronic' lightly) and decided that our state would be better off by officially declaring certain of its citizens to have less fundamental rights than the rest of us.

But Obama won, so I'm still happy.

While I don't agree with the majority of this book, it makes some interesting points on how protecting competition and preventing monopolies is yet another problem of government propoganda. The idea of competition in general is what creates this "only look out for ones self" attitude. Competition basically means that you can only suceed at someone else's failures. So in order to not fail, you must fuck everyone else over; and it is in large part the fault of our government for perpetuating this ideology.
